I’ve really fallen in love with this piece - as I’ve added each layer of wax, chalk, mud and indigo, it’s felt as if I’m reaching deeper and deeper into the inky depths of sky and the changing phases of the beautiful moon.

It measures 66cm x 50cm and is made with heavy old linen and is now listed in my shop

Wonderful walk last week from Stonehenge to Avebur

Wonderful walk last week from Stonehenge to Avebury with this incredible human being, darling D X
We walked across the Salisbury Plain, mostly in sunshine following the river Avon until we reached the Vale of Pewsey and our first White Horse. This is where Alfred gathered his army before going off to fight the Dane’s so there are white horses a plenty…lots of many magical churches to shelter in - especially lovely was St Mary’s at Alton Priors with sarsen stones laid in the floor under secret trap doors. On the final day we climbed up onto the Malborough Downs and finally down to Avebury following the long tail of the mythic dragon from West Kennet, the Sanctuary and the long line of tumuli and incredible standing stones.
The Sarsen way is called the way of Death to Life and as we walked we discovered how life affirming walking can be and how difficult it is to stop 💚

Back to the workshop today after our lovely walk and wanted to share some of our hanging pieces which are now up on the website.
This one is Fern - made with Dogwood and iron on very old linen. You can see more pics and the whole collection online.
We love making our patterns with seasonal dyes and old linens and hemps and watching the colours and marks coming alive on the fabric 🌱🌱🌱🌱
