We are delighted to supply you with hand dyed and hand printed fabric lengths for you to use in your own home furnishing projects – whether for blinds, curtains, tablecloths or upholstery.
All our fabric is seasonally dyed and hand-printed to order on 100 percent linen using water based inks. Each piece of fabric is a one off creation, the product of a passing season, changing weather and local soil and the by the dyers and printers hand and skill. Variety and inconsistency are an essential part of how we make our fabric and one we hope you will love.
In spring, we use the pinky colour of rhubarb to dye our cloth. During summer months, the bright acid yellows of weld and in autumn and winter, the warm earthy hues of walnut and indigo. This fabric has been hand dyed with indigo in my Sussex workshop.
Once the base cloth has been dyed it is carefully handprinted using water-based inks.
Our South Downs collection of patterns, including our St Cuthman design is inspired by the ancient patterns of the churches along the South Downs Way, near my workshop in West Sussex.
St Cuthman is a loopy pattern, inspired by Romanesque stone carving in the church of St Andrew and St Cuthman in Steyning.
We are happy to send out fabric samples which you can order through this website.
