Join me to learn how to print with mordants and make colours and patterns using this ancient craft.
Forage for natural dyes on the South Downs & make your own patterned cloth using this wonderful natural technique. You will learn how to identify seasonal dye plants that are growing on these beautiful chalk uplands, make up a wide range of dye baths and use mordants & after baths to create a wonderful range of patterns & colours.
The workshop is happening on the 3rd/4th October and will take place in beautiful Wiston Village Hall, West Sussex. You will have the chance to explore the fields, hedgerows & woods of this lovely part of Sussex. All materials are provided as well as a simple veggie lunch. I keep student numbers low – there is only ever 6 students on my workshops
